Job Description

úÿÿÿStructure and efficiently manage Maintenance Procurement Department (including suppliers, staff, finance etc.)úÿÿÿWork closely with current other HODs for efficient communication of requestsúÿÿÿWork smartly to prioritize requestsúÿÿÿMonitor internal finance reporting as per Company policies and standards.úÿÿÿDeveloping sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the businessúÿÿÿMaintaining relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendorsúÿÿÿEvaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveriesúÿÿÿCommunicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting productionúÿÿÿConducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvementúÿÿÿDeveloping risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortagesúÿÿÿSupervising a purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessaryúÿÿÿWorking closely with the company legal department to make sure contracts and terms are favorable

  • Meeting with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss production forecasts or changes
  • Negotiating prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders
  • Reviewing job orders to determine work priorities
  • Working within approved budget; Develops and implements cost saving measures; Contributes to profits and revenue; Conserves organizational resources
  • Identifying and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions
  • Prioritizing and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently; Plans for additional resources; Sets goals and objectives; Organizes or schedules other people and their tasks; Develops realistic action plans
  • Performs other duties as directed
