Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTIONAs a Non-Apparel Buyer, youll play a vital role in sourcing and procuring a variety of non-apparel products specifically for the UAE local market. Your role involves product selection, supplier management, and market awareness to build an appealing product catalog.Key Responsibilities:

  1. Local Market Expertise: Leverage your experience and knowledge of the UAE local market to identify and source non-apparel products that align with local preferences and cultural nuances.
  2. Supplier Management: Develop and manage supplier relationships to ensure product quality and on-time delivery.
  3. Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and local consumer preferences to make informed buying decisions.
  4. Quality Control: Uphold high product standards to meet safety and regulatory requirements.
  5. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and recommend restocking or discontinuation as needed.
  6. Cost Negotiation: Negotiate pricing to maintain competitive product costs while ensuring profitability.
  7. Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and sales teams to align products with our brand strategy.
  8. Budget Management: Efficiently manage the product procurement budget.
  9. Reporting: Provide insights and recommendations through regular product performance and sales reports.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven buying or procurement experience, ideally within the baby and kids industry.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UAE local market and consumer preferences.
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software is a plus.
