WASH & Shelter Officer (Partnership Unit)

Job Description

Assignment Under the authority of the Project Manager-Partnerships, the WASH and Shelter Officer is responsible for the implementation of WASH and Shelter interventions undertaken by ACTED partners, while ensuring compliance to ACTED?s quality criteria and strategy. He/ She will be joining a motivated, supporting, and skilled Partnership unit, that currently supervising and implementing multi-sectoral projects in region.DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES????????General responsibilities

1. Support of the implementation of ACTED partners` WASH & Shelter-related projects, and take the lead in technical issues in the projects.
2. Review and support in the finalizing of technical assessments and BoQ`s.
3. Follow and evaluate the work of partners.
4. Formulate Kobo tools and analyze data when needed for the unit multi-sectorial activities.

????????Detailed responsibilities 1.????Support to implementation of the activities:

1. Support the PM in organizing WASH & Shelter project activities (weekly planning).
2. Facilitates communication between the PM and IPs in WASH & Shelter-related issues.
3. Remotely monitor WASH & Shelter activities and adjust the approach as necessary.
4. Identifies and informs the Project Manager of any problems or constraints related.
5. Participate in identifying best practices and lessons learned.
6. Collect photos and success stories of program implementation from IPs and send them to PM.
7. Proposes solutions or improvements to the Project Manager to ensure the program activities are implemented with quality, according to the objectives, and on time.
8. Support the Project Manager in their work with other departments (Compliance and AME especially).

2.????Technical Tasks:

1. Support the implementation of WASH & Shelter activities, especially in the Engineering related aspects of the projects.
2. Provide a clear understanding of WASH & Shelter methodologies related to achieving project deliverables.
3. Coordinate and facilitate needs and technical assessments.
4. Ensure close monitoring and follow-up of the implementation of water and sanitation infrastructure and shelter activities.
5. Ensure the quality of the generated Bills of Quantities (BoQ?s), and other technical documents are up to ACTED standards.
6. Responsible to ensure contractors work in compliance with technical specifications and quality Standards of ACTED and donors requirements.
7. Work with the AME department to ensure refined monitoring and follow-up tools.

3.????Reporting:

1. Report all issues, problems, anticipated delays rise in partners` designated area to the Project Manager regarding the WASH services and the construction activities.
2. Ensure partners documentation of the project activities is done according to ACTED and donors requirements.
3. Review and support in finalizing activity reports in collaboration with the partner field staff.
4. Work with the AMEU to ensure proper projects indicators tracking in the field, and facilitate on-site monitoring activities.
5. Support the PM on the data analysis and ensure the follow-up of the project indicators, sends a weekly report to the PM.
6. Supports and formalizes the capitalization process with each department.

4.????Administration and Other Tasks:

1. Reviewing and cleaning databases from Implementing Partners.
2. Maintain an efficient, organized system of partner paperwork and reporting for fieldwork.
3. Perform other duties as requested by the Project Manager.
4. Respect and follow ACTED?s code of conduct.
