Come be a part of this journey!BAT JORDAN IS LOOKING FOR A SUSTAINABILITY COORDINATOR (FIXED TERM) ? AMMAN, JORDANFUNCTION:OperationsROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVESThe sustainability coordinator will work on developing, implementing and maintaining an integrated management system and controls that ensures best practice performance in sustainability, and health and safety in BAT Jordan, 3rd party manufacturers in Jordan and Lebanon and support MEC Sustainability agenda when needed. Sustainability: To coordinate sustainability projects and ensure sustainability KPI information gathered, analyzed and reported as per best practices ? this includes energy consumption, carbon emissions accounting, waste management and water stewardship. Coordinate and participate in sustainability initiatives and liaise with internal and external stakeholder to ensure delivery of sustainability targets. Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with British American Tobaccos EH&S policy objectives, standards, and guidelines and all applicable national or regional laws and regulations and to contribute to protecting the continuity of supply of products to the market.WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR* Coordinate sustainability projects and initiatives and contribute to objective delivery. * Lead on ESG agenda initiatives and projects relating to environmental and social responsibility within and outside the organization. * Support engineering team planning and measuring impact of energy conservation and water stewardship projects. * Manager contractor and 3rd party sustainability and ESG requirements as per BAT guidelines * Coordinate with 3rd party manufacturers to ensure compliance with BAT sustainability guidelines and practices. drive sustainability projects and initiatives. * Facilitate training needs analysis to ensure that all employees receive relevant EHS training and coordinate EHS training. * Compile EHS Risk Profile for Operating Company to ensure that potential risks are eliminated. * Communicate effectively with BAT employees to ensure that EHS standards are conformed to. * Conduct regular inspection to all contractor performing service in BAT plant and ensure work permit is issued just for those who satisfy all EHS requirement * Ensure compliance with relevant Environmental Health and Safety legislation to ensure that the factory conforms to both local and national standardsESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE* Proficiency in Computer skills (Power Point, Ms- Excel and Ms-word) * Good communication and instruction skills * Bachelor?s degree in a relevant field * Good Analytical skills by use of spreadsheets and good presentation skills * Good Record keeping and organization skills * Technical training and certifications on EH&S or environmental management are nice to have * Arabic and English proficiency in a mustBELONGING, ACHIEVING, TOGETHERCollaboration, diversity and teamwork underpin everything we do here at BAT.
