Upgrade and migrate the database from the lower version to the higher one.
Monitor the applications middleware components, OS components, and different Relational Database Management Systems.
Assist project managers, administrators, contractors, and other customers in the design and implementation of related services.
Assesses database performance by developing a protocol for measurement of results and identification of problem areas.
Lead the technical teams of Database for day-to-day operations and ensure the best technology and operational practices.
Perform tuning on the databases depending on the requirement like Application Tuning, Hardware tuning, query tuning, Memory tuning, Instance tuning, OS tuning, Network tuning, IO tuning, etc?
Ensure that backup/archive/restore and replication strategies are executed.
Ensure service/system Availability as per the KPIs.
Perform Capacity and Performance management for IT Infrastructure Systems.
Plan and execute health checks and performance tuning for Databases and systems.
Manage the SLA for the technical DBA team at NourNet for the incident, problem, and change management and present reports to management.
Ensure the security of the database, especially if the database is connected to the Internet.
Keep abreast of database technologies and enabling applications allowing for the recommendation and selection of solutions to meet the business needs of NourNet?s customers.
Perform Database performance monitoring with tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL Plus, SQL Server Management Console, SQL Query Analyzer, and SQL Profiler.
Install, configure and maintain physical and logical standby databases.
Manage, support, and advise other database employees and provide technical help to ensure the best performance of DBA team
