?ROLE PURPOSE:The role of the Senior Instructional Design is to design and develop training sessions, instructor-led training guides, and supporting materials following an instructional design process.? The Instructional Designer will use strong interpersonal, written, and visual communication skills to bring together text, images, video and audio?s to communicate and support Save the Children staff, partners, members, and other stakeholdersSCOPE OF ROLE:Reports to: Training Hub Technical AdvisorInternal: Education & Protection Technical Advisor, Livelihood Technical AdvisorKEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:Technical Expertise? Works directly with the Technical Advisors and senior technical team (STT), and provides overall technical direction and guidance of the project .? Handles the instructional design and delivery process to support the program.? Quickly synthesizes and writes the content based on inputs from subject matter experts, written material, previous training courses, interviews, etc.? Designs content specifications and analyses various options to meet instructional goals.? Designs and develops instructional/educational courses and performance support tools in adherence with SC Jordan standards.? prepares training action plan for the projects/programs.? Determines the actual training needs of the trainees in the projects.? Coordinates with projects teams to ensure the implementation of the interventions meets the agreed planned milestones in a timely manner.??? Ensures an integrated holistic approach for the development and implementation of the resources and materials is adopted.? Provides technical assistance, coaching and mentorship to relevant projects? partners, stakeholders? and projercts staff.? Participates in team brainstorming and strategy meetings to help define goals and direction.? Leads the development of assessment tools related to the training programs, analyze results and support the development of action plans.? Completes various tasks that are related to the training course including the admnistrative and technical such as report writing.? Keeps up to date on learning tools, trends, and ideas.? Prepares progress and technical reports and briefs.Knowledge & Skills? Strong written and verbal English and arabic grammar, spelling, punctuation, usage & pronunciation.? Formal training in instructional design and/or adult learning, knowledge & application of adult learning principles.? Strong interpersonal skills in both client interactions and team interactions?? Experience taking, creating, or administering online asynchronous training?? Microsoft Word: basic text formatting functions, tables, bullets and numbering, hanging indents, inserting graphics, tracking changes, accepting comments and changes.? Microsoft PowerPoint: basic text formatting, tables, master layouts, text and title placeholders, entering slide notes; ability to use graphic design features to create screen layouts.Position Qualifications?
