Job Description

Job Title:The Safety Engineer is responsible for providing protection and communication with hotel guests and employees. He/she is also responsible for patrolling hotel premises to maintain security, detect and report fire, security and safety hazards. He/she is to develop procedures and design systems to protect people from illness and injury and property from damage and to combine knowledge of engineering and of health & safety to make sure that chemicals, machinery, software, furniture, and other products will not cause harm to people or damage to property.What you will be doing:The responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:

  • Carry outproposed renovation ofguestrooms orpublic areas.
  • FireandSafetyprocedures.
  • Any Emergency Procedures.
  • Back-up System (Diesel Generator (DG)Setsand UPS Backup)
  • Fire alarms and its monitoring.
  • Fix any water leaks (isolation points).
  • Maintenance calls logging and action.
  • Ensure all types of equipment are checked regularly for proper and efficient operation.

Your experience and skills include:
  • Degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent from recognized university. Postgraduate degree in Safety and/or Chartered Engineer Status is preferred.
  • Experience in Technical Safety Engineering. Held supervisory position and hold track record to train and mentor junior engineers.
  • Developing ALARP demonstrations for Process Safety risks and preparing HSE Cases.
  • Knowledgeable of Fire Protection standards and guidelines.
  • Ability to work as a team member as well as lead role.
