Job Description

PURPOSE, SCOPE AND IMPACTThe Regional Master Data Manager manages the supply-chain master data for all countries in their assigned region on a day-to-day basis.MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES?Master Data Management:

  • Ensures that master data is managed as per the global master data management policy.
  • Ensures that the set service levels are respected.
  • Maintains the regional master database of standard and non-standard items and its associated tables (pricing, etc.) for the region.
  • Ensures the item propagation to appropriate contexts based on pre-defined rules.
  • Manages phase-in / phase-out of items. (a/o obsolescence analysis, maintain the replacement Cross reference table)
  • Performs regular analyses on the usage of items and propose changes based on these analyses. (a/o transform non-standard items to regional standard items)
  • Maintains the customer-address database for the region.
  • Maintains various master data (preferences, bills of material, transportation data, calendars and locations).
Training:
  • Provides training to key users and new Logisticians on topics related to master data.
  • Provides support on master data issues in their region; issues guidelines and contributes to creating a shared knowledge base.
  • Supports the Global Data Manager in preparing roll-outs in the region (item/address creation set-up).
  • Carries out exceptional processes for small sites with limited capacity.
MD Support and Networking:
  • Support any team having Master Data issues (purchasing, transport, SCA, Medlog, WH etc.)
  • Support the National Master Data focal points and provide guidelines
  • Support the Global data manager in the preparation of the new roll outs that are part of the region (items / address creations and other set up)
  • Attend and actively participate in the periodical calls with the Global Data Manager and the other regional Data managers
  • Be proactive and propose / participate actively in any process /procedure changes related to MD management regionally
  • Contribute to the creation of a shared knowledge base.
Operational Support:
  • Execute exceptional processes for small sites with limited skills
  • Maintain a network of key-users, organize (web-) seminars etc.
  • Maintain a network with other regional Master Data Managers, 2nd line support and the Global Master Data Manager(HQ)
Scope & Impact
  • Geographical remit: regional.
RELATIONSHIPS
  • Internally, interacts with key users of JD Edwards software and with fellow Regional Master Data Managers, second-and third level support staff and the Global Data Manager at headquarters.
  • No external relationships.
GENERAL DUTIES
  • Be aware of the delegations objectives and activities
  • Understand the three components of the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement
  • Apply the security rules at all times
  • Respect and observe the staff regulations of the ICRC in Jordan.
  • The employee may be asked to perform other duties not covered in this job description as well as to provide support to other departments when and if necessary.
