Job PurposeREACH Initiative is currently seeking a professional with a background in research and/or information management to serve as an Information Management Specialist supporting REACH?s direct support to WASH sector. This position will involve working closely with the coordinator and information management officer for the WASH sector to provide high level analysis of bi-annual WASH surveys and support to severity and people in need calculations for the once a year Humanitarian Needs Overview (HNO). This position may also involve supporting other relevant REACH research as appropriate.Under the functional supervision of the Humanitarian Program Cycle Research Manager, with daily supervision by the WASH coordinator, the REACH Information Management Specialist will be responsible for providing information management support and analysis for WASH activities in the REACH portfolio.ObjectivesObjective 1: Support the WASH sector with survey analysisAnalyze results from biannual WASH surveys in region and ensure that the WASH sector has access to clear, understandable results (may include building a dashboard or helping to produce a report). Assist WASH sector with interpretation of results.Objective 2: Support the WASH sector throughout the HNO processProvide specific analysis support for WASH information needed to write the HNO WASH chapter. Assist the WASH sector with calculating severity and people in need (PiN) for the HNO WASH sector.Objective 3: Support other REACH research portfolios as neededOn an as needed basis and as time allows, support REACH research portfolios as relevant to the specialist?s skillset.Duties and Responsibilities:Supporting the REACH regional mission to provide the WASH sector with reliable and accurate technical advice and support;Supporting the WASH sector with relevant analysis, particularly in calculating severity and PiN for the HNO;Conducting advanced analysis of data collected as part of routine WASH surveys;Preparation, conceptualization, and production of WASH sector information products;Contributing to the development of data collection and analysis best practices and quality assurance processes through participation in the REACH WASH community of practice;Providing analysis and ad-hoc assessment technical support throughout research cycles implemented by the REACH team;Ensuring that activities are implemented in a structured and coherent manner, in line with project and program objectives, and assuring that deadlines are met;Ensuring regular reporting on progress and participating in coordination meetings as relevant.Key Performance Indicators
