Job Description

Noorart, an international company specialized in publishing and distributing educational materials, is currently seeking to hire candidates for position of Purchasing / Logistics Senior to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing and logistics roles, preferably in the private sector. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to optimize procurement processes.
  2. Manage the entire purchasing process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and evaluating supplier performance.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and supplies.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure adequate stock levels.
  5. Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  6. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local and international regulations.
  7. Manage relationships with key suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
  8. Oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  9. Optimize the logistics network to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  10. Work closely with the finance department to manage budgets and control costs.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing and logistics roles, preferably in the private sector.
  2. Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or any related field.
  3. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, logistics operations, and supply chain management.
  4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  5. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  6. Experience with ERP systems and other relevant software.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  8. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  9. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
  10. Fluency in English and Arabic.
