Objective:Under the direct supervision of the Head of Communications, and in close collaboration with the Coms team in Amman as well as the Press Officers in Dubai and Beirut, the Press Officer is responsible for making the medical and humanitarian action of M‚decins Sans Frontires (MSF) known to the media, the public, institutions, vendors and key persons or groups In the MENA region.The Press Officer will support the OCA communications, advocacy and recruitment objectives in the region in terms of acceptance, visibility, and leverage. He/she will develop a strong network of national, regional and international journalists based in the MENA region. He/She will also work on supporting MSF?s institutional and operational communications initiatives and projects of the MSF OCA MENA Regional Office as well as contribute to MSF?s global awareness, acceptance and visibility.Tasks & Responsibilities ( including, but not limited to):Communication:
