Job Description

JOB PURPOSEDeveloping projects plans by determining and developing critical path and the most suitable and economically viable construction and engineering methods for projects. Estimate a timescale for a project and ensure that the outlined deadlines are met. Monitoring implementation of projects plans with project managers and site engineers to ensure that all projects run on schedule, timely delivery of material supplies, and all aspects of the projects are on trackKPISPredictability in TimeCompliance to schedulesBacklog work orders /hoursLead time commitment/integration into projectsPredictability in itemsNet Available hoursSubcontractors? schedule/delivery commitmentProjects Manpower availability/delivery schedulesMAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSTRATEGIC DUTIESMonitoring the performance of the project and following up on the set Key Performance IndicatorsTECHNICAL DUTIES

  1. Deciding on the most appropriate engineering techniques and sequences of activities for each project stage.
  2. Drawing plans; using specialized software packages.
  3. Preparing schedule data for proposals or delivery negotiations as requested and checks and confirms that the correct scope of work is reflected on assigned schedules.
  4. Regularly monitoring critical path and preparing schedule impact reports for project management.
  5. Resource planning in Project management software (men & material) and its tracking on regular basis
  6. Assessing progress, completion forecasts and providing solutions to mitigate schedule delays or to optimize project completion.
  7. Keeping close watch on various activities of Projects (such as delivery of materials, site clearance, duration of activities, holds etc.) and updating the Project Management office Manager on any Risk foreseen for project completion and providing suggestions.
  8. Preparing look ahead schedules to support site construction operations.
  9. Communicating to PMs/site engineers & other project teams on priorities and criticality of projects activities.
  10. Preparing early warning notices to projects managers/teams on delays and the likely effects of delays.
  11. Communicating with site engineers/team to receive weekly status of works and progress data.
  12. Preparing and maintain data to report accurately on Cost Performance (CPI) and Schedule Performance (SPI).
  13. Supporting Project Management office manager by provide ongoing analysis of projects, milestones and key deliverables in consultation with the Projects managers/teams and other departments/clients.
GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
  1. Preparing periodic (weekly, monthly, quarterly) reports with respect to the activities and achievements to be submitted to the direct supervisor for review.
  2. Performing other duties related to the job as assigned by the direct supervisor.
