In this program, MTaPS has also provided technical support to strengthen the Government of Jordan?s COVID?19 response efforts in IPC. The IPC program will focus on improving governance and organizational capacity of the national Advisory Committee for Infection Prevention and Control (ACIPC) to oversee the implementation of IPC interventions according to the NAP?AMR. MTaPS will continue to build the capacity of IPC personnel. Infection control will have a key role in ensuring that IPC measures are appropriately applied to further reduce the spread of infections and the need for antimicrobial use. His Excellency the Minister of Health requested from the ACIPC the formation of a sub? committee to investigate and address multi?drug resistant organisms (MDROs) outbreaks. With support from MTaPS Jordan and national and international stakeholders, the committee developed a policy for MDROs to be implemented in the public and private sectors. The purpose of this scope of work is to collaborate and work closely with the MTaPS Jordan team in building stakeholder capacity for implementation of the approved MDRO policy. The consultant will develop training materials according to the MDRO policy and conduct training to stakeholders from the public (MOH, Royal Medical Services) and private health sectors in accordance with the MOH IPC Department. This work will require a senior clinical practitioner, with expertise in IPC within hospital settings. This expert will have expertise in capacity building of hospital/healthcare practitioners including hands?on trainingSupervision and reporting responsibility:The consultant will be supervised by, and report to Senior Technical Advisor at MTaPS Jordan. The consultant will liaise with the country director, other members of the country team, relevant MTaPS headquarters and regional technical staff, and work in collaboration with the MOH IPC Department and other stakeholders as needed.Description of Services to be providedThe consultant will undertake the following activities: - Lead the development, review, and finalization of training materials related to MDROs policies addressing all the elements of fully aligned the policy developed by the ACIPC?s sub?committee Acinetobacter and in coordination with the MOH IPC Department.- Support MTaPS and the MOH implementing technical workshops/meetings with stakeholders.- Deliver MDRO Policy selected points coordination the MOH IPC Department.Deliverables or Milestones- MDRO Policy training materials (reviewed and approved by the MOH IPC Department and the ACIPC?s sub?committee on Acinetobacter after incorporating any comments/suggestions provided by the MOH IPC Department and the sub?committee). This will include a PowerPoint presentation.(7days)- Training sessions for MDROs policies training.(4days)Consultant qualification requirements:* Medical Doctor, IPC nurse, or microbiologist with a postgraduate diploma in a field related to infectious diseases or IPC.* At least 7 years? experience in healthcare settings.* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of IPC programs and interventions.* Fluency in English and Arabic.* Competency in Microsoft office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.* Experience in developing and implementing capacity?building and training activities for healthcare providers.* Experience working with International NGO?s is a plus.* Familiarity with adult learning principles is a plus.
