This involves supporting the project manager on reporting on the projects in line with the objectives, timeframe, and budget. Full time, 12 months **Key Activity AreasMHPSS Project Management** * Supporting in managing the assigned MHPSS projects to meet the project objectives within budget and within the allotted time frame, reporting promptly operational concerns to Project Manager.* Provide strong leadership of the assigned MHPSS projects, working to ensure both short and long-term positive impacts and outcomes for the beneficiaries, local authorities (where applicable) and local staff,* Contribute to development and implementation of an appropriate and effective MHPSS strategy including proactive planning for responsible exit in consultation with PM.* Coordinate and manage the PSS team and oversee their work technically and operationally, for example plan and facilitate weekly reviews and reporting.* Maintain a transparent, honest and supportive communication structure with beneficiaries and their communities.* Fill in for the Project Manager as needed in his/her absence.* Continuously monitor and supervise MHPSS activities, evaluating progress through outputs and impacts using both quantitative and qualitative data involving the MHPSS team in analysis and taking appropriate action as needed to ensure continued progress.* Monitoring of the Projects Budget vs Actuals* Provide input into the integration of beneficiary participation and accountability in all aspects of the project.* Work closely with Project Manager to develop new proposals, linked to the assessed needs and gaps and the Medair country strategy, in conjunction with the field team, PSS Advisor, and Program Funding Manager.* Work closely with Project Manager to develop the strategy and mechanisms to mainstream mental health and psychosocial support into Medair programs in line with Medair?s global Strategic Approach for MHPSS.* Contribute to develop and implement integrated referral mechanism* Coordinate with MHPSS and Protection partners to address the MHPSS and protection issues for the beneficiaries.Staff Management* Line-manage the MHPSS Officers, MHPSS assitant and MHPSS Community Health Volunteers within the assigned projects, including day-to-day management, development and training, appraisals, etc. Provide coaching and technical supervision to staff to develop ownership for MHPSS activities.* Ensure all personnel related issues for the staff of the designated project(s) are carried out in accordance with Medair guidelines. This includes recruitment, appraisals, objective setting, development and training, disciplinary action, etc.* Ensure that staff receive training by providing coaching and through the promotion of MHPSS capacity building of staff.* Hold regular team meetings and, through a consultative leadership style and a transparent, honest and supportive communication structure, develop and build an effective team.* Promote the health and security of the staff of the designated project(s) by ensuring the application of security guidelines, health and safety in the workplace and healthy living conditions and practices.* Facilitate regular meetings to assist information sharing between project staff, to ensure all staff members are aware of project objectives and current work plans and to provide the opportunity for feedbackEffective engagement with UN agencies, NGOs, donors and community leaders* Liaise and develop respectful relationships with other NGOs, UN agencies, local authority structures and other stakeholders.* Attend donor visits to represent the project and clearly communicate the work taking place* Attend UNHCR MHPSS working group and other meetings as requested by Project Manager.* Ensure cross-check of lists of potential beneficiaries with other agencies and the UNHCR to avoid duplication of beneficiaries and overlap with other programmes.* Liaise with beneficiaries and host community as required on the procedures related to the delivery of cash-assistance and be available to answer to related questions and concerns.* Assist the Project Manager in facilitating partnership with any other actors, for example MoUs with relevant line ministries or setting up (in)formal agreements with local NGOs, CBOs etc.Quality Management* Maintain and analyse databases with all beneficiary and project data; for monitoring, evaluation, reporting and targeting/selection purposes.* Help to maintain and improve Medair Jordan?s Information Management System for MHPSS programming and be a focal point for anyone using the IMS.* Prepare reports and up to date status of beneficiary selection, used for official reporting.* Adhere to data security and privacy procedures* Reporting on activities targets, adherence to SOPs and relevant checksChampion Organizational Values* Reflect the values of Medair with team members, local staff, beneficiaries, and external contacts.This job description covers the main tasks that are anticipated.
