Detail Responsibilities/DutiesReporting to the MENA Senior Manager and serving as a lead member of the HFH Jordan (HFHJ) Senior Management Team (SMT), this positions primary responsibility is two-fold:1. Ensure organizational effectiveness within HFHJ by providing leadership in program strategy, partnerships, and operations.?Supported by a strong team, the Manager: Jordan Country Program & MENA region is responsible for: the oversight of day-to-day program operations; overseeing and supporting the creation and management of program design and budgets in collaboration with the HFHJ country team and MENA Program Manager, and developing an organizational strategy, environment and foundation for quality and future growth. Working with other SMT members, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices.2. Work closely with the MENA Senior Manager to support program quality and growth across the MENA region.?Informed by the MENA Regional Strategy, work closely with the MENA Senior Manager to implement annual operational plans with a focus on expanding Habitat for Humanity?s impact across the MENA region into new geographies, and with new partners.Key Responsibilities:
  1. Working with the HFHJ team, MENA Senior Manager, and HFHI regional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), leading program strategy formulation and its regular refinement, including the development of goals and objectives, and overseeing the development of sustainable and effective local programs.
  2. Offer programmatic leadership, ensuring both regional strategic alignment and local program impact by coordinating and collaborating with communities, government officials, donors, stakeholders, staff, and consultants for effective needs analysis, project design, and implementation.
  3. Provide supporting and effective leadership to HFHJ staff, stewarding a strong and collaborative organizational culture.
  4. Support business development efforts by identifying potential and viable local partnerships and, representing HFH Jordan in professional and humanitarian and shelter sector fora, and with government and development partners.
  5. Work collaboratively with the senior management team, project leads, and team members to ensure necessary program design, planning, development, resource availability, and management of activities to function smoothly and efficiently.
  6. Develop and manage activity plans to ensure program delivery through a. Development of annual project plans and budgets, including MEAL plans; and budgets, including MEAL plans;
  7. b. In collaboration with the finance department, manage and track project expenses and monitor project cash flow.
  8. Supervise the monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) function, providing support and guidance for all program reporting.
  9. Manage and supervise project teams, including project managers and program coordinators, and ensure that all relevant HR policies and practices are adhered to and that people-related issues are managed and dealt with timeously within the program department.
  10. Support local and international fundraising efforts by designing and maintaining a portfolio of fundable projects, working collaboratively with SMEs, project managers, the Finance Manager, and the Grants Compliance and Donor Reporting unit.
  11. Work closely with the MENA Senior Manager and HFHI regional counterparts to identify new opportunities for impact, scale, and funding across the MENA region.
  12. Support knowledge management and sharing efforts, including distilling key lessons and making documents available on Habitat?s knowledge management sites.
  13. Support with local, regional and international communication in sharing program successes through the provision of human interest stories, photos, and project updates.
  14. Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the supervisor
