Local Governance Lead for Jordan Amman Urban Resilience ActivityTetra Tech International Development (International Development Jobs - Tetra Tech) is currentlyaccepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a Local Governance Lead for theanticipated $25-50 million USAID-funded multi-year Amman Urban Resilience Activity (AURA) in Jordan.Position Description: The focus of this activity is on improving local governance and the enablingenvironment for urban climate resilience and decarbonization in the Greater Amman Municipality(GAM), focusing on interventions with high adaptation benefits. The potential activity may improvedata-driven policymaking, planning, and budgeting, and may include interventions focusing on disasterrisk reduction resulting from floods and extreme heat events, investment and access to climate funds,enhanced participation of local communities and the private sector, and targeted urban resilienceinfrastructure work. The Local Governance Lead will provide local governance leadership and technicalexpertise for achieving Outcome 1, to improve data driven policymaking and planning, and promotebehavior change for urban resilience and decarbonization in Jordan. This is anticipated to be a full-timeposition based in Amman, Jordan.Responsibilities:* Provide local governance leadership and technical expertise;* Manage the Local Governance staff, partners, grantees, and subcontractors;* Provide technical input into the project approach consistent with best practices within localgovernance;* Oversee Outcome 1 technical activities and ensure it is achieving the results defined in the contract;and* Evaluate and document AURA progress and lessons learned.
