Job Description

Job Purpose:The legal advisor shall lead the legal affairs function at the company and provide assistance on all the legal matters and advice on related documentation, negotiations, contracts, etc. The post holder is responsible for defending the rights and the legitimate interests of the company. He/she shall identify and analyze legal risk and exposure of the company?s operations and business relationships. The Legal Advisor shall also be responsible for managing and supervising the in-house legal team and manage relationships with other external counsel in Jordan and internationally.?Duties & Responsibility:

  • Studying of laws, rules and regulations and keeping abreast of their updates to determine their legal implications on the company.
  • Assessing legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuits.
  • Providing advice to the company concerning transactions.
  • Providing legal advice to all departments across the company, Board of Directors, and management.
  • Drafting or reviewing business contracts internally and externally.
  • Administration and follow-up on all lawsuits concerning the company in coordination the company?s lawyers in Jordan and abroad.
  • Providing legal advice in relation to customer complaints when need arises on cases that are redirected from the customer service section as well as outstations.
  • Preparing service bonds to guarantee the company?s incurred costs on issues related to technical training of all staff.
  • Following up with external legal advisors that are handling the company?s legal matters in outstations and locally.
  • Formulating, planning, developing and implementing long, medium and short term departmental strategies.
