*Lead operator/general farm worker job - cambridgeshire/norfolk* An exciting and varied role within an established, well equipped family farming business operating within NE Cambs and SW Norfolk growing predominantly combinable crops alongside environmental schemes. Responsibilities will include the variety of all main field operations including main cultivations, drilling, fertiliser and agchem applications through to operating the combine harvester. Between and during the quieter times the role will require enthusiastic skills of machinery maintenance and repair along with general property upkeep. The successful candidate will be a trustworthy person with enthusiasm and a broad skill set, be committed to the position with a long term view and be of a nature to complete tasks with pride and attention to detail. The position requires a person that is content to work alone and use their initiative as well as within a small friendly team. This role requires a person that wishes to be valued, have an input in decision making and an amount of freedom to make the job their own. Although advantageous, it is not mandatory that all relevant qualifications are held as training will be offered to the suitable candidate, if required.
