Job Description

The ?Employment Promotion Programme (EPP) in Jordan is seeking for a ?Junior Technical Advisor ? Monitoring, Evaluation and Evidence? - on a full time base employment. Responsibilities:The position holder:

  • is responsible for operating the results-based monitoring system of the project in close coordination with the M&E coordinator.
  • Supports in defining and implementing interventions with regard to evidenced-based policy making.
??In this context, the position holder fulfils the following tasks:?Tasks:1. Operating the results-based monitoring system of the project:The position holder:
  • Ensures available information on project progress (based on M&E data), towards regularly updating and reporting on the status of results and employment effects of EPP.
  • Develops and organises all RBM and quality assurance measures within the EPP, suggests necessary changes, improvements and initiatives.
  • Writes reports and supports reporting, publications and other documents based on regular M&E and impact assessment.
  • Monitors the development and implementation of project activities and updating the RBM towards objectives and impact in close consultation with M&E coordinator.
  • Develops and maintains all necessary supporting documents and formats for RBM.
  • Ensure updating DMS files with all relevant documents.
  • Preparing results-based monitoring information as per request (success stories, fact sheets, presentations).
  • Support in developing operational monitoring tools (questionnaires, databases, interview and survey forms, etc.).
  • Prepares, implements and follows up on monitoring workshops and meetings with the team and partners.
  • Organizes consultant missions in the fields of monitoring and evaluation.
  • Updates the project related platform according to the platform?s instructions on data entry and update.
  • Supports technical staff in collecting monitoring data (through research, focus groups, etc.
?2. Advising on Evidence based policy making:The position holder:
  • Supports the program director and team in FoA1 in defining and implementing interventions with regard to evidenced-based policy making.
  • Supports other team members in FoA 1 in preparing workshops, concepts, reports and documentation.
  • Supports contracting and managing consultants in various activities related to FoA 1.
  • Contributes to the planning and monitoring of programme interventions in FoA1.
  • Supports cooperation, regular contact and dialogue between different stakeholders and partners.
  • coordinates with and advises other institutions like MoL and ETVET Fund in terms of evidence- based policy making and organizational development.
?3. Other duties/additional tasks:The position holder:
  • Deputizes the M&E team members.
  • Represents the interests and always acts on behalf of GIZ.
  • Conducts other relevant tasks upon the request of direct superior.
  • Regularly checks the changes in GIZ Orientation and Regulations Tool (O+R) in relation to field of work.
