Job PurposeThe Country Investigation Intern will be in charge, under the Investigation Manager of contributing to the Investigation Unit alerts? management, providing administrative support to the Investigation Unit as well as any other related tasks:The Investigation Intern will be mainly responsible for following up on Investigation Unit?s Hotlines in a timely manner.The Investigation Intern will be updating the WoS IU trackers- under the direct supervision of the Investigation Officer.The Investigation Intern will support in investigating low sensitivity level cases communicated to the Investigation Unit with documentation review notably after an initial joint assessment with the Investigation Unit.The Investigation Intern is expected to maintain a professional and ethical demeanor beyond reproach and always protect confidentiality.The Investigation Intern is expected to maintain a professional and ethical demeanor beyond reproach and always protect confidentiality.Objectives1.Contacts reporters to secure and verify information; keep records; assists in managing fraud hotline calls and messages; assists in requesting documentation required for investigation.2.Investigation functions: perform and support low sensitivity level investigations conducted at regional and country levels, adopting a risk-based approach (under the supervision of the Investigation Unit); Gather and compile information needed by the Investigation Unit; Assist in documentation review required for investigations3.Documentation: Create Investigation files; keep records; update Country Investigation Unit Tracker.Duties and Responsibilities

• Hotlines Management:
• To translate Fraud Hotline messages and calls from Arabic to English and vice versa.
• Maintain accurate records of calls and messages received on the Investigation Unit server.

-Conducting phone interviews, following up with complainers, send an initial reply to collect sufficient and needed information.

• Notify the Investigation Unit in a timely manner about all new allegations received on the hotline.

• Country Investigation Unit Tracker Management:
• Contribute to the Country Investigation Unit tracker by logging in the allegations of fraud, misconduct, or violations of ACTED?s code of conduct received on the Hotline in a timely manner;
• Maintains complete confidentiality with respect to information acquired through the investigation process and all associated activities.

• Assisting in low sensitivity levelcases:
• Jointly assess the sensitivity level of the initial alert directly with the Investigation Unit.
• Assist in gathering and collecting compulsory information and documentation related to the investigation from the field
• To assist/ conduct interviews with potential witnesses and the subjects of investigations.
• Document and files all investigation steps.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and update of transparency cases management methodology.

• Other:
• Provide administrative support for the Investigation Unit;
• Provide support for the implementation of ACTED?s Conflict of Interest Prevention Policy;
• Perform any other related activities assigned by the immediate supervisor;

• Compliance & Ethics:
• Promote and encourage a culture of compliance and ethics throughout ACTED. As applicable to the position, maintain a clear understanding of ACTED and donor compliance and ethics standards.
