The security compliance officers tasks also include conducting audits on systems and hosting third-party audits as required in order to maintain certifications and compliance certificates. Also, the security compliance officer deploys, manages, and maintains security audit systems and their corresponding or associated software. The security compliance officer develops, implements, maintains, and oversees the enforcement of internal security policies and procedures. In addition, this role?s responsibilities include the identification, evaluation, and interpretation of regulatory, statutory and member security requirements, control deficiencies and information security risks.Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Analyze management and technical controls to ensure that specific security and compliance requirements are met through the verification of documented processes, procedures, and standards to validate the maintenance of secure configurations.
  • Monitor risk assessments and perform internal and external risk assessments.
  • Collaborate on critical IT projects to ensure that security policy/risk issues are addressed throughout the project life cycle.
  • Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/ recommends corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
  • Monitor the change management process to ensure compliance.
  • Develop key performance metrics to track and ensure compliance with established policies and standards.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage business continuity and disaster recovery requirements,
  • Develop security processes and procedures and support service-level agreements to ensure that security controls are managed and maintained.
  • Participate in the development of security and privacy awareness training.
  • Coordinates the continuous development, implementation and updating of security and privacy policies, standards, guidelines, baselines, processes and procedures in compliance with local and international regulations and standards.
