Job Description

Under the responsibility of the Grants Manager, to whom he / she will report, the Grants Specialist will support pre-award surveys of potential grantees. Monitors grantee performance and provides ongoing financial and programmatic monitoring of grant activities, including tracking of obligations and disbursement.In coordination with the Grants Manager, the Grants Specialist

  • manages grants and procurement to ensure compliance with USAID regulations. Liaises with relevant technical team members to develop grant SOWs and requests for applications.
  • Reviews/prepares grant agreements as needed. Serves as subcontractor point of contact on financial/contractual matters.
  • Reviews bids for completeness, accuracy, and responsiveness for procurements of goods/services. Prepares purchase orders, subcontracts, and modifications and ensures proper backup documentation is included. Serves as a non-voting member for grants and procurements under designated thresholds.
  • Ensures policies and procedures are followed. Ensures integrity, compliance, fairness, accuracy, and openness in procurement and grants processes.
