All of our efforts are based on our value compass: humanity, respect, independence and neutrality, participation DRC is looking for an experiencedGrants Management Officerwho will play a key role in supporting and coordinating reporting, grant management, donor compliance, as well as project development (proposals, concept notes, expressions of interest, etc based in Amman office.About the jobThe individual will report directly toHead of Programmes. Your main duties and responsibilities will be: Reporting (50%): * Coordinate external donor reporting (including relevant data collection from different staff/departments) ensuring high-quality, well-written, accurate and timely narrative reports (monthly, mid-term, annual and/or final) meeting donor and DRC requirements;* Follow up with the Finance department on donor financial reporting and audits;* Liaise with the regional and HQ focal points for coordinating internal reviews of reports prior to submission;* Support reporting on JORISS (Government online platform) by collecting relevant data/information. Grants Management (30%): * Responsible for updating DRC?s Information Management System (Dynamics) in a timely manner, with key documentation related to grants (contracts, amendments, MoUs, etc.), and ensure hard copies are stored appropriately according to DRC documentation policy;* Update DRC Jordan?s Grants Tracker and share it with relevant team members on a monthly basis;* Work in collaboration with the Finance Unit at country level as well as HQ for the tracking and submission of donor installment requests;* Organize and co-facilitate all Grant Kick-Off, Review and Closure Meetings with field teams and other relevant staff;* Advise DRC programme and finance team members on appropriate action for grant related challenges and coordinate with DRC senior staff in decision making; * Facilitate positive relationships with DRC?s donors in country, ensuring timely communication, resolving of any potential issues and attending to ad-hoc requests;* Regularly liaise with donor focal points in a professional and competent manner. Programme Development (10%): * Support the Grants Management Coordinator with the development of concept notes and proposals as needed, notably by collecting and compiling necessary inputs from program staff, technical advisors, HQ/Regional Office and partners (if relevant) and through the provision of technical guidance in respect to donor requirements, always ensuring internal deadlines are observed;* Support with DRC?s fundraising strategy, donor scoping and donor engagement plans. Donor Compliance (10%): * Maintain up-to-date information on DRC Jordan?s current donors with regard to compliance and standards, and ensure all donor guidelines and requirements are respected;* Assist with strengthening the capacity of field staff and local partners by supporting trainings and providing follow-up support in report writing, sub-grants procedures, and other topics as needed.About youRequired* Have a university degree, preferably in social sciences, business administration, international relations, humanitarian aid/development, or other relevant field* 2 years of experience working with INGOs in field locations;* At least 1 year of experience directly working on donor reporting, grants management, program support, or proposal development;* Strong knowledge of institutional donor regulations (e.g., PRM, GIZ, SDC, UNHCR, and/or EU);* Good understanding of key financial procedures.* Excellent English (very strong writing skills required)* Fluent Arabic is an asset Technical competencies: * Familiarity with Programme Cycle Management;* Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, online databases, etc.);* Good understanding of protection and livelihood programming;* Ability to analyses complex data and/or information and present it to various audiences.In this position, you are expected to demonstrate DRC? five core competencies:Striving for excellence:You focus on reaching results while ensuring an efficient process.Collaborating:You involve relevant parties and encourage feedback.Taking the lead:You take ownership and initiative while aiming for innovation.Communicating:You listen and speak effectively and honestly.Demonstrating integrity:You act in line with DRC?s vision and values.
