*Farm and Land Management Advice* The role will involve procuring and managing farm and land management advice, training and support to farmers, managers and landowners through the Farm Advice and Land Management Advice Framework (FaLMA). The work will contribute to the uptake of Countryside Stewardship (CS) and Catchment Sensitive Farming (CSF), a programme which provides practical advice and training on how to improve air and water quality. We are seeking to continue to develop the use of FaLMA to support new agri-environment schemes. - You will need to show good project management skills, work at pace as part of a team and be responsive to clients. - You will need to manage contracts that are let through the FaLMA framework. - Good communication and numeracy skills are required as the post holder will be working with colleagues in NE, Defra, Rural Payments Agency and external contractors. - Work with our Framework Suppliers to deliver the day to day activity of the work of the Farm Advice Team. - A knowledge of agri-environment schemes/ farming would be helpful but is not essential. - Work with our Area Teams to build coherent advice packages to support farmers and landowners. - The candidate must be able to handle data responsibly and understand delegations, governance and be able to follow policies and procedures. - Provide advice /support finance and budgeting and the completion contracts.
