The Deputy Facilities Manager is responsible for supporting the Site/Facilities Manager in the safe and efficient running of all aspects of the daily facilities operation at the academy, including all aspects of site maintenance, non-structural repairs, heating, ventilation, safety, security and cleanliness. They will be responsible for the daily management of the lunchbreak supervision team and will also be required to deputise in the absence of the Site/Facilities Manager. The successful candidate must have a sense of humour and be able to work professionally and independently using initiative and can thrive in a busy and demanding role. They will possess a range of practical skills in order to contribute to the general site maintenance and improvement works and be fit and able to cope with the physically challenging duties of a Deputy Facilities Manager. They will have a sound understanding of health and safety including COSHH, Risk Assessments. They will have excellent organisational skills ensuring that important activities are completed within tight timescales and with accuracy. They will be able to work logically, resourcefully, proactively, and efficiently. They will be a confident communicator and enjoy building and maintaining successful, professional relationships with colleagues and external parties and have a positive approach to providing excellent customer service.
