Internship AssignmentLocation: Amman, JordanContract duration: 3 monthsStart date: ASAPUnder the supervision of the Senior Data Officer, the Data Intern is responsible for the development and execution of R scripts for data processing and analysis in order to strengthen the quality and efficiency of assessments and information products. The Data Intern is also responsible for the development of information products and for the coordination of the data processes with other team members.The internship provides a unique opportunity to experience an international humanitarian environment and be involved in the practical application of gathering and analyzing data from various datasets and sources, performing mathematical and/or statistical programming.Functions:The Data Intern is responsible for completing the following tasks:????????Familiarising with the steps of the research cycle: data collection, cleaning, analysis, sharing;????????Reviewing, editing and running existing R scripts for data cleaning and analysis;????????Developing R scripts to automate the data processes of new assessments;????????Conducting data analysis based on the requirements of the given assessments;????????Supporting the design and development of information products such as dashboard and interactive maps;????????Supporting the development of algorithms to detect data fabrication;????????Coordinating and ensuring timely data collection, follow-ups, cleaning, analysis and, in partnership with GIS/Database team, mapping of datasets;????????Ensuring that datasets and analysis outputs meet the quality requirement.
