About the jobThe Galley Operations are personnel in change of preparing Galley Loading Plans (GLP) for all aircrafts and establishing the standards of on-board service equipment dry store & bar items, determining and addressing loading issues for RJ aircrafts whilst always aiming to simplify loading and reduce items on board. In additional, monitor & evaluate performance of caterers? operations and its impact on RJ?s guest experience.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Driving and being accountable for the continual development of all galley planning to facilitate the delivery of products and Inflight services;
  • Developing galley, cabin and stowage studies for new aircraft types joining the fleet;
  • Determining the stowing and positioning of catering, catering equipment and non-food items in the aircraft galleys via generating galley loading diagram to all concerned;
  • Reviewing, updating and publishing in a timely manner GLPs with every schedule, meal uplift or product/service change to ensure caterers have access to the correct/updated GLPs at all times to achieve compliance to loading requirements and maintain service levels on board flights. Changes to be highlighted for re-published GLP?s to simply understanding for stakeholders;
  • Maintaining and producing standardized aircraft packing and loading plans by creating packing and loading instructions for containers, carts and galley diagrams for all flights, aircraft types and configurations, making the process simple and effective to reduce complexity for equipment logistics, achieve optimal balancing of equipment flows between catering stations;
  • Carrying out physical checks on departure and arrival flight to ensure contractor compliance to GLPs, identify stations/flights that do non-comply and initiate corrective action;
  • Supervising the procedure of loading and unloading of Inflight products aboard of RJ flights in terms of the following
    • loading timing
    • Food Temperatures should not exceed 5 C prior to dispatch times.
    • Food surface temperatures should not exceed 10 C during transportation and loading;
  • Ensuring the conformity of RJ?s menu to quality, weight portion, cycles, and specifications standards of RJ?s contract and preparation timing;
  • Monitoring the implementation of food safety procedures and HACCP system;
  • Monitoring the Dry store inventory and free bar including quantities and quality in compliance with RJ standards;
  • Setting up and/or adjusting Dry Store & Bar Standards and equipment standards according to aircraft type, destination, type of passenger and flight timing
  • Continuously improve RJ catering equipment management system
