Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

One of the largest domestic factories in Kuwait is looking to hire a maintenance engineer to ensure that industrial machinery and equipment runs smoothly and reliably.Job Description? Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance? Responding to breakdowns? Diagnosing faults? Repairing equipment? Supervising engineering and technical staff? Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings? Managing budgets? Maintaining statistical and financial records? Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation? Following maintenance procedures? Managing stocks of supplies and equipment.? Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment? Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs? Work with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (plc), which control machinery on factory assembly lines? Write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines? Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.? All that may be requested or assigned in his field of workShift and 'on-call' work may be required, particularly where manufacturing equipment is in continual 24-hour operation. Career progression is often accelerated; maintenance engineers have opportunities to move into managerial positions or related areas of employment such as plant/production engineering.Key skills for maintenance engineers?
