Cost Control Manager

Job Description

Roles & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.Establish cost control systems, procedures, and reporting standards.Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets and identify variances.Ensure effective cost tracking and cost allocation for all project activities.Prepare and review monthly cost reports, forecasts, and financial summaries.Analyze cost overruns, savings, and trends, and recommend corrective actions.Monitor earned value, productivity, and cost performance indicators.Provide accurate cost data to management for decision-making.Coordinate with commercial and contracts teams on change orders, variations, and claims.Review cost impact of design changes and scope variations.Ensure variations are properly evaluated, approved, and recorded.Work closely with project managers, planners, quantity surveyors, and procurement teams.Support procurement with cost evaluations and vendor negotiations.Assist in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.Ensure compliance with contractual terms, company policies, and project procedures.Identify cost-related risks and opportunities and implement mitigation measures.Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and financial standards.Maintain accurate cost records and documentation.Desired Candidate ProfileBachelor?s degree in civil engineeringProfessional certification in Project Controls, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, or related fields is desirable.Minimum 15?18 years of experience in cost control/project controls within the construction industry.
