We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic team in the trading and commodity trading sector. As an integral part of our finance department, you will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, coupled with the ability to analyze financial data effectively. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for professional growth and development within a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording transactions and ensuring proper documentation.Support the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and reconciliations.Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights based on financial analysis.Prepare and submit tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and support.Monitor and manage petty cash transactions and ensure proper controls are in place.Assist in the implementation of new accounting software and processes to enhance efficiency.Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.Preferred Candidate:Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate insightful reports.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to learn new tools quickly.Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.Team player attitude, willing to support colleagues and contribute to team success.Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with accounting practices.Relevant certifications or coursework in accounting or finance is a plus.
