Employment: Full Time CLIENTLinum Consults client operates in the Middle East. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a Civil or Structural Engineer with good geotechnical experience to join their team in Qatar.RESPONSIBILITIESCarrying out technical reviews of the contractors design submissionsCoordinating with designers regarding the design solutions chosen by the contractorProviding input from a Structural Engineers point of view for the value engineering processIdentifying any risks in the contractors structural designIdentifying the interfaces within the D&B designs (especially shafts, entrances), with regards to the road and traffic layouts, and assessing the feasibility of the road and traffic facilities around these structuresConducting a technical review of NOC requestsPreparing an input and/or reviewing incident investigation reports related to structural, static, and civil issuesPreparing civil concepts for special tasks and studies for future phasesInputting into future tenders from a civils perspectiveInspecting/auditing the structural designers of the D&B contractors or consultants REQUIREMENTS: PROFILEMasters degree in Civil EngineeringBetween 8-12 years experience working in the civil engineering industry, with a strong background in the structural and geotechnical design for railway or metro construction projectsExperience of working on international projectsExcellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skillsGood knowledge of contracts mainly FIDIC and other project legislationFluent in spoken and written EnglishIf you are already based in Doha, you must have an NOC available and fit all the key criteria to apply for this position
