Working in coordination with the humanitarian community and the Government of Jordan, the IRCs assistance programs for Syrian refugees in Jordan include both camp-based (Zaatari, and Azraq camps) and urban-based refugee assistance (Mafraq, Ramtha, Irbid).Ahlan Simsim ProgramIn December 2017, Sesame Workshop and the IRC were awarded the MacArthur Foundation?s inaugural 100&Change grant to make real progress toward solving a critical problem of our time and in December 2018 received another award from the LEGO Foundation to support refugee early education programs. With these extraordinary investments, our partnership will transform the language, early reading, math, and social-emotional skills of a generation of children ages 0-8 affected by the Syrian war. Focusing on children in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria over the next five years, the inclusive plan combines the depth of in-person services, reaching 1.5 million children, with the breadth of mass media, reaching 9.4 million children.?Job OverviewThe ECD Program Assistant will be responsible of providing operational and administrative support to Ahlan Simsim?s program activities in the ECD center in Azar Camp, Village 2. This includes ensuring all logistical and operational needs of the ECD center are identified and covered, preparation and processing of administrative and financial documents, daily follow-up on activities conducted by volunteers in the center and support in data collection and reporting. The position will be reporting to the ECD Officer and will be based in Azraq Camp.Responsibilities-?????? In coordination with the ECD Officer, prepare monthly logistic and procurement plans for the ECD center.-?????? Ensure logistics and procurement plans are executed and materials needs for the ECD center are covered.-?????? Monitor the ECD center stock count on a monthly basis and track the stock list to insure the availability of the items needed for the activities.-?????? Support as needed in conducting needs assessments and following-up on logistics and procurement needs for other IRC centers in Azraq camp (Village 3, 5 and 6).-?????? Prepare needed documentation related to payments, including but not limited to volunteer contracts and payments.-?????? Ensure all financial and administrative documents are properly completed and filed.-?????? Support the ECD Officer with the daily oversight and follow-up of activities conducted by volunteers and facilitators in the ECD center, according to set work plans.-?????? Support with the management of volunteers and facilitators when needed.-?????? Support with data collection and data entry for daily attendance sheets, inventory logs and registration forms.-??????
