Job Description

Job Mission:The purpose of this job is to ensure stock and asset levels that permanently meet the plant?s various needs, storage needs, and to follow up the manufacturing cycle in terms of consumption of raw materials, and storage of non-primary materials such as equipment.Key Roles & Responsibilities:Planning and monitoring

• Work with Director of Procurement to develop strategic plans and objectives for this department, and general policies and directions that ensure the achievement of the companys strategy.
• Develop short-term action plans that are conducive to achieve the departments plan.
• Participate in developing the annual budget of the department and maintain all costs and expenditures within the limits of the budget.
• Work with the plant manager, sales manager and procurement manager to ensure that the plant?s warehousing needs are met, and to communicate with relevant departments regarding warehousing policies with the concerned authorities.
• The warehouse manager is considered the link between production, procurement and sales, in terms of determining the planning of stock levels in participation with it. He is responsible for translating the production, sale and purchase plans into storage mechanisms suitable for these plans.
• set plans for expanding, updating or amending storage assets in line with the companys various plans related to production, sales and purchases.
• Ensure compliance with the practices for storing raw materials, equipment and spare parts in the cement industry.

• Implement strategic initiatives and inform all individuals within the department of these initiatives.
• Implement and work on reviewing and proposing development of policies and procedures in the department.
• Provide direction and leadership to all employees to ensure effective and efficient work flow.
• Ensure the proper functioning of the department and that the tasks and responsibilities are exercised on the basis of the authority schedule.
• Ensure that policies and procedures comply with the safety and security standards approved by the relevant government departments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and follow up on the commitment of various departments to these standards.
• Follow up on the daily operations inside the warehouse such as receiving, disbursing, and issuing periodic reports on them.
• Continuous monitoring of assets, stock levels and consumption rate of raw materials and products, and ensuring that their records are maintained to reflect the real situation on the ground. Ensure that the economic stock is maintained by setting the minimum and maximum limits for all inventory items.
• Coordination with the departments of production, procurement and sales to ensure the provision of various requirements as per the agreed plan.
• Establish standards and overseeing their implementation for arranging and coordinating the warehouse in a way that maintains storage conditions, arranges storage methods, and works to activate traffic, storage, and fetching inside the warehouse.
• Establish a system to classify materials according to their type, nature of use, and coding them according to an approved coding system, in order to increase the effectiveness of the storage process.
• Provide the plant manager with adequate and necessary information in terms of stock levels, and providing it for purchases and sales in order to achieve integration between warehousing operations and supply chains.
• Examination, test and follow-up of all materials purchased locally and abroad that are supplied to the stores in cooperation with the relevant departments.
• Follow up and make decisions regarding damaged materials and the causes of damage.
• Participate and / or directly interfere in preparing contracts and agreements for transfer or contracting to perform services within the warehouse management, and related discussions, negotiations and approvals.
• Interview and approve the appointment of employees in the warehouse management.
• Follow up on the performance of direct subordinates.

• Follow up the criteria for evaluating the transporters and contractors in warehouse management and reviewing them according to the performance schedule and the authority schedule.
• Review the list of transporters and contractors in warehouse management approved according to performance.
• Review the general storage policies and amendments based on them.
• review the storage strategy and measuring its performance in the service of the company to achieve its strategic goals.
• Establish standards and follow them up to ensure that warehouse management and its reports adhere to the standards specified for that.
