Managerial Responsibilities Management, Budgets and Procedures
Supervises the daily activities of business or technical support or production team and supports team members as a Foreman/ Supervisor/Unit head or group leader.
Sets priorities for the team to ensure high quality task completion in a set time frame. Coordinates work activities with other supervisors and provides technical on-the-job training for team members.
Applies acquired knowledge and experience to identify and implement improvement opportunities in own work area/ processes in alignment with the business plan.
Demonstrates understanding of applications, procedures and concepts within own discipline and basic knowledge of other disciplines.
Provides clarity to team members regarding the broader vision of the function and how they work towards it.
Provide input for preparation of the departments budgets and regularly monitor expenditure against approved budget levels.
Ensure compliance with all applicable compliance and legal regulations and propose solutions to the issues related to the area.
?Staffing, Professional Development and Training
Implement knowledge and competencies in the area by ensuring that employee attend various training programs required for the area and business.
Support the personal development plans, succession plans and talent pipeline in coordination with the reporting officer to continuously develop employees.
Applies judgement to resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems.
Perform periodic performance appraisals for the area staff and report the outcomes to the reporting officer.
?Performance Management and Continuous Improvement
Monitor the achievement of the area KPIs related to the annual performance objective.
Encourage innovation and support initiatives to continuously improve operations and services.
Propose improvements for internal processes to achieve greater efficiency.
?Health, Safety and Environment
Drive the implementation of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, procedures, system & controls.
Ensure appropriate HSE training is provided to all employees within the area to meet HSE standards.
?Functional Responsibilities:?
Ensure day-to-day work is performed effectively, efficiently, and safely in order to increase refinery profit, enhance plant reliability/integrity, and promote safety & compliance to environmental standards.

Supervise production operations and ensure that the plant meets its maximum production capacity.
?3.Ensure successful production in terms of quality and quantity according to product specifications and production plans.?4.Supervise critical operational activities such as start-up and shutdowns.?
Recommend and implement corrective actions in case of operational disruptions in accordance and identify preventive measures to avoid future disruptions.
?6.Ensure the validity and accuracy of relevant safety and plant operation instructions and propose required improvements/updates as applicable.?7.Participate in developing the Division?s Operating and Business plan. Accordingly develop and implement the Unit Operating and Business plan.?
Review cost sheet and ensure compliance with operating plan requirement.
?9.Regularly communicate safety, reliability and operations instructions with Operation personnel and receive input/ suggestions for improvement.?10.Provide the necessary support to the respective OME team member before/after daily meetings to ensure high level of safety performance and comply with health, safety and environmental standards.?11.Perform other job-related duties as requested by the Operations Area Manager.?12.Ensure the performance of various assigned responsibilities and the conduct of the staff is in accordance with YASREF?s policies and procedures.?
Optimize the use of available resources in carrying out the assigned responsibilities and ensure timely completion according to set standards.
?14.Implement relevant business and operating plan objectives and control the Section/Unit budget.?15.Cascade YASREF?s operational priorities including profitability, reliability, safety & environmental requirements to all direct reports and support them in executing the daily activities in line with these priorities.?16.Ensure the readiness of his unit during the emergency as per approved ERP & to play effective roles during the real emergency as per ERP role & responsibilities.?17.Ensure the reliable performance of his unit by reviewing unit equipment performance in consideration of total plant reliability program & set the corrective action plan to close the related gaps.??18.Ensure the effectiveness and readiness of unit fire protection system all the time & ensure the corrective maintenance will be conducted.?19.Ensure on time equipment hand over for maintenance activities as per plan in consideration of operation manual instruction.?20.Ensure well implementation of total plant reliability program outcomes corrective actions by OME.?21.Ensure effective equipment switch over schedule in place as per plant reliability program.?22.Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct Supervisor.?MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Qualification / Academics: Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.OrDiploma in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.Years of work experience:Bachelor: Eight (8) years of relevant experience of which three (3) years in a Supervisory role.OrDiploma: Twelve (12) years of relevant experience of which five (5) years in a Supervisory role.
