We are seeking a detail-oriented and certified Medical Coder to accurately review and assign standardized codes to medical diagnoses, procedures, and services. The Medical Coder will ensure that all coding complies with healthcare regulations and insurance requirements, facilitating accurate billing and reimbursement.Key Responsibilities:Review medical records, documentation, and reports to assign appropriate ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes.Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with applicable guidelines and regulations.Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation when necessary.Prepare and transmit claims to insurance companies and healthcare payers.Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA and other relevant standards.Keep updated with the latest coding rules, guidelines, and regulations.Assist in audits and resolve coding discrepancies.Support billing and collections processes as needed.Qualifications:Certification in Medical Coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, CCS-P) from recognized bodies such as AAPC or AHIMA.Proven experience in medical coding in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting.Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding guidelines.Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and medical billing software.Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.Good communication and teamwork skills.
