Job Description

Job Title: Holiday Travel ConsultantReports to: SupervisorLocation: DubaiJob Purpose:Promote and sell Elevate Travel products and services to the public, retail, and leisure walk-in clientele.Handle direct walk-in customers, enquiries through telephone, email, fax, and support in accordancewith the standard operating procedures, and assist in increasing sales and market share.Key Accountabilities:Travel consultancy and selling Effectively handle retail and leisure clients with regard to airfares, leisure/holiday/personaltravel queries, itineraries, and other travel arrangements. Offer acceptable travel solutions to their needs, exposing at the same time, the whole range ofElevate travel products and services, with a view to convert queries into selling, a maximumnumber of auxiliary products at the highest possible levels of profitability for the department. Track and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement. Generate daily/weekly/fortnightly/monthly sales reports. Maintaining and accountability of the revenue documents Properly handle all revenue accountable documents such as tickets and invoices. Ensure all utilized documents are correctly reported in the Back Office System at the end of theday, to facilitate accurate invoicing by Sales and Revenue accounts. Ensure that the Outgoing and Incoming revenue documents like Exchange orders, VMPDs, HotelVoucher transactions, Service vouchers, etc., are handled accurately and efficiently. Track and analyze petty cash/finance department reports. Products and services reservation and documentation Make travel related reservations and issue tickets/travel documents/vouchers to clients. Ensure that all relevant airline/leisure supplier rules and regulations have been complied with,and that the travel product delivered is commensurate with client requirements andexpectations. Effectively sell and ancillary travel products to increase revenue for the company, seeking at thesame time opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell, using the systems and opportunities madeavailable by the department. Adherence to standard operating procedures Ensure to respect and strictly follow the standard operating procedures and sales policies as laiddown by the management from time to time.Qualifications, Experience, and Skills: Bachelor's degree or equivalent Diploma in Travel and Tourism, IATA Basic/Advanced fares and ticketing, and or equivalentMinimum Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in the travel industryJob-Specific Skills Basic knowledge of computer reservations systems, GDS systems, and TRAX Excellent command of both written and spoken Arabic and English Basic industry knowledgeBehavioral Competencies Ability to work in a target-based environment and to achieve sales goals and objectives Ability to multitask and quickly interpret complex information Ability to build strong relationships with clients, both over the phone and face to face Skills to persuade customers and influence their decisions, both for their own benefit and that ofthe agency Exceptionally high levels of motivation, working both independently and as part of a team Smart appearance
