Job Description

Key Responsibilities:Under supervision receive goods, accurately sort, label and store goods ensuring optimization of warehouse spaceUnder supervision verify items against the record of shipment, and inspect condition for damages/ defects, update received and shipped items according to established proceduresEnsure proper routing of materials is maintained while transporting the materials between departmentsVerify and pack items for shipment according to specifications and the applicable transportation methodComply with established procedures to maintain and log the movement of incoming and outgoing materials and productsPerform order fulfilment based on customer requirementsRetrieve stored information, place orders or respond to enquiries such as inventory levels or delivery schedulesResolve recurring issues faced during delivery as per defined processes, systems and methodsUndertake generally repetitive tasks related to movement, tools, and packaging (e.g. pickers and packers)Pack items for shipment according to specificationsUnder supervision receive goods, scan and verify items against the shipment recordUndertake generally repetitive tasks to consolidate transshipment and sorting activities (e.g. within sorting centers)Under supervision support operate gas or electric powered forklift truck to move, stack, stage, load or unload materials, parts, finished goods, etc. and may use a hi-rise to load items in storage racksVerify and process applicable documentation during package/ freight pick-up or arrival at warehouseUnder supervision operate a scanner to process all incoming and outgoing shipmentsComply with established procedures to arrange daily pick-up schedules and dispatch pick-up delivery information in a timely and efficient mannerEnsure forklifts and equipment are properly checked, used and maintained on a daily basisSupport general admin tasks related to shipment processing and documentation, sending status information and accepting/ securing over-the-counter paymentsAnswer basic queries from customer service and sales for shipment tracking and resolve issues related to misplaced shipmentsStay updated with the methods of use of all equipment and obtain related certifications for loading, unloading and material handling equipmentJob Skills, Qualifications & Experience:Vocational/Specialized/Technical/CertificationLess than 2 years of relevant experienceYou will be redirected to the company website to apply for this position
