Many Global Consulting firms, Fintech, Corporates and PE/VC firms are our clients, across APAC and the Middle East regions.Currently, one of our clients, a leading Bank in UAE is looking for Senior Officer FRR to join its team in DubaiJOB TITLE - Senior Credit Restructuring Analyst2 DEPARTMENT - CREDIT GROUP - SPECIAL ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT3 REPORTING TO - SENIOR FINANCIAL ADVISOR4 JOB PURPOSE Manage non-performing loans by developing suitable strategies and initiate recovery efforts to achieve recovery targets while ensuring the Banks interests are protected in co-ordination with Head of Special Accounts5 PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESWork Management1 Responsible for managing and implementing bank management decisions to transfer accounts to the FRR department, including but not limited to the adherence to the SOP processes.2 Responsible for the timely submission of reports requested by the bank management including but not limited to MIS reports, BOD monthly reporting etc.3 Responsible for managing and assisting the Senior Financial Advisor in managing a delegatedportfolio for non-performing assets, mitigating, and reducing loss situations.4 Establish effective working relationship with non-performing defaulting borrowers to determinesolutions which will protect the Banks interest and increase the security in favour for the bank.5 Submit settlement proposals with recommendations and comments to enhance recovery process.6 Liaise closely with other departments such as documentation, legal, with a continuous follow-upand monitoring for the purpose of managing and implementing the bank approved strategyregarding each account.7 Monitor the issuance and follow-up of all approved agreements for settlements of debt and theiradherence to the approved terms and conditions.8 Observe the development of non-performing loans and determine at what stage alternative action should be taken and adopt cost effective measures based on the status of the loan to effect optimum recovery of the loan.9 Prepare monthly / required reports on the status of non-performing loans to provide an update on the latest developments on each account and to discuss the next course of action on stale accounts.10 Ensure compliance with the auditors requirements, internal and external reporting obligations in- line with the banks policy guidelines while adhering to high standards of uniformity andconsistency across the Bank.11 Review periodically the departments policies and procedures to ensure the most efficient andeffective manner of workflow is in place.6 JOB CONTEXTThe major challenge for this unit is to gain the trust and confidence of thedefaulting borrowers and to create an atmosphere of protracted negotiationsto reach a mutual agreement with acceptable terms and conditions forsettlement of outstanding debt while enhancing the securities in favour of thebank and ensuring minimum potential loss to the Bank by avoiding legalaction.7COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Ongoing contact with SFA / team members, liaising with other elateddepartments such as Credit, Documentation, Legal and Internal AuditDepartments.8FRAME WORK,BOUNDARIES & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY Work within the overall direction and guidelines set by the Head of FRR. Operate in a sensitive manner while negotiating with delinquent borrowersfor settlement or rescheduling of loans. Play a major role in the decision making process by making recommendations and preparing proposals for resolution.9 QUALIFICATIONS University Degree. Post Graduate qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Office10EXPERIENCE Minimum 3 5 years banking experience of which at least 2 years in Recovery unit / Credit Review or Corporate banking with a reputablefinancial institution.11 SKILLS Good command of English. Arabic language would be an asset. Good knowledge of banking laws and procedures.
