The Rooms Controller is responsible for managing the allocation and availability of hotel rooms, ensuring optimal occupancy, and providing excellent guest service. This role involves coordinating with housekeeping, front desk, and reservations to ensure smooth room operations and guest satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and manage room availability and occupancy levels.Coordinate with the front desk team to allocate rooms according to guest preferences and reservations.Oversee the check-in and check-out process to ensure efficiency.Communicate with housekeeping to confirm room readiness and address any issues.Handle guest requests and resolve any issues related to room bookings or accommodations.Maintain accurate records of room status, reservations, and cancellations.Assist in maximizing hotel revenue through effective room management.Prepare daily reports on room occupancy, arrivals, departures, and special requests.Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.Ensure compliance with hotel policies and standards.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in hospitality management, tourism, or related field.Proven experience in hotel front office, reservations, or room management.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to multitask and work under pressure.Customer-service-oriented attitude.Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio) is a plus.
