QC (Quality Control) Manager

Job Description

QC Manager is responsible for leading and managing the quality control function within anorganization. They ensure that products, services, and processes meet established quality standards andregulatory requirements. The QC Manager oversees quality control procedures, manages a team of QCprofessionals, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and maintainhigh-quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Quality Control Management:Develop and implement quality control policies, procedures, and guidelines.Define quality standards and specifications for products, services, or processes.Establish quality control metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor and measureperformance.Team Leadership and Development:Manage and provide guidance to the QC team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.Foster a culture of quality consciousness and continuous improvement within the QC team.Provide coaching and support to team members in executing their quality control responsibilities.Quality Control Processes and Systems:Design and implement quality control processes, including inspection, testing, and documentationprocedures.Establish and maintain a quality control system to ensure compliance with quality standards andregulatory requirements.Collaborate with other departments to integrate quality control measures into their processes.Data Analysis and Reporting:Analyze quality control data, identify trends, and provide insights to improve processes and addressquality issues.Prepare and present quality control reports and metrics to senior managementEnsuring compliance with all specified requirements of Ex standards and technical documentsReview Ex quality management system and QMS of supplier.Perform a documented site assessment to ensure that all relevant controls are available, documented,understood and effective at supplier end.Evaluation of External providers providing calibration services as per the BS EN ISO/IEC 80079-34:2020.Implement quality control procedures and inspection protocols to verify that Ex- Proof Enclosuresmeet safety, quality, and performance standards.Determine and implement verification arrangements which demonstrate the products compliancewith the certificate, considering the nature of the product and the nature of the external provider.Verification of purchased product is relative to material, analysis certificate or declaration must besupplied with the material.Review the material manufacturers confirmation that the material complies with Specific materialproperties of concern.Review the material manufacturers process and data for the validation of material characteristics.Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality control activities, QAPs, ITPs including inspectionreports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans as per Ex Standards & Criteria.Oversee and coordinate the testing of Ex-Proof Enclosures, including explosion-proof and IP Testing,to validate their safety and reliability.Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits to verify compliance with IEC 80079-34 andother relevant standards.Maintain detailed records of test results, inspection findings, and quality control measures. Preparereports and documentation for regulatory authorities when necessary.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product designers, engineers, and production staff,to identify and address quality issues.Investigate product failures or non-conformities, identify root causes, and implement corrective andpreventive actions.Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering- Mechanical Sheet Metal fabrication mainly stainless steel enclosure Knowledge of EX Proof of QAN/QAR Process.
