Company DescriptionSwissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair Hotel is a 620-room-and-suite upper upscale property. Catering for both business and leisure clientele. The hotel is located in Deira in the heart of Dubai and within easy reach of major tourist landmarks, leisure destinations and city services. It is linked to the Al Ghurair Shopping Centre, only 3 stops away on the Dubai Metro from the Dubai World Trade Centre and a 10 minute drive from Dubai International Airport.As a Painter you are responsible in maintenance and upkeep of all final finishes in Guest rooms, Public areas and other premises.Whats in it for you:

What you will be doing:
  • Ensures the optimum condition and appearance of all civil, interior design, and Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment finishes by following the preventive maintenance program
  • Ensures environmentally friendly practices are followed when handling chemicals, paints, varnishes, strippers, and other finishing products
  • Daily checking of Maintenance Log Book highlighting problems and solutions efficiently
  • Responds to guest requests promptly in a professional and courteous manner
  • Actively participates in departmental meeting by providing feedback and offering suggestions for improvement
  • Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests and employees health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two year experience in similar role in Hotel Industry (preferably from 5. Hotel)
  • Proficient in all manner of carpentry, interior design and FF&E repair, refurbishment, and maintenance
  • The ability to use all general repair tools, read shop drawings and specifications, make rough estimates of required materials.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
