Group Senior Manager - HSE Training & Programme

Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:Responsible for developing Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) learning and development strategies across the group. Collaborates with stakeholders to develop group level HSE curriculum and ensure that learning and development needs are met. Acts as a focal point for corporate HSE training, learning and development programmes. Coordinates communications and supports the implementation of corporate HSE initiatives. Monitors, maintains and improves corporate HSE training content and programme materials to improve HSE performance and sustain a zero harm culture. Support the development and launch of the GHSE Training Academy HUB.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Lead the design, development and implementation of group wide HSE training courses and learning and development programmes.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders when planning and delivering HSE training courses and programmes.
• Monitor and report on training and programme data and trends to assess effectiveness, evaluate performance and identify any opportunities for improvement. .
• Identify future HSE training needs and create curriculum to facilitate that training.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of course content and ensure training materials are aligned with Organisational requirements, industry standards and best practices.
• Review existing training programmes suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning and retention and / or to meet the changing needs of the organisation.
• Conduct or facilitate required training sessions in particular SafeLeader face to face sessions and eLearning.
• Resolve specific learning and / or delivery problems and tailor programmes as necessary.
• Coordinate or support the implementation, measurement and ongoing promotion of HSE Pillar related initiatives such as SafeLeader, TakeTime, Stop Work Authority, Commitments We Live By and Business in a Box.
• Arrange seminars, conferences and workshops to promote ongoing application of corporate HSE programmes, tools and behaviours to improve HSE performance.
• Identify communication requirements, stakeholders and develop and coordinate communications for corporate HSE initiatives and programmes across the group.
• Support the development and launch of the GHSE Training Academy HUB.
• Responsible for the management and leadership of an engaged team, promoting collaboration and ensuring that each is developed and evaluated against goals and objectives which are aligned, specific, measurable, attainable yet challenging, realistic and time bound.
• Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with DP Worlds Principles, values and culture ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities understanding and following DP Worlds Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Business Travel expected upto 25 percent of the time.

• Formal qualifications in Education, Learning and Development or Training.
• At least five years of experience in HSE Technical training development and implementation or similar role.
• Certification in HSE such as NEBOSH or related discipline. Bachelors Degree or Masters degree or related discipline.
• Experience in digital and technology led learning and development.
• Knowledge of and experience with Learning Management System (LMS) platforms, curriculum design and adult learning methodologies.
• Experience in practical HSE management

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
