Job Description

Job PurposeThe Finance Product Supervisor supports the Finance Product Officer to manage and deliver the financial systems enhancements and support on a global scale, to ensure the provision of best-in-class financial systems, applications, and management information for use internally by Finance and across the business, to inform/enable commercial decisions. The role supports the implementation and compliance of effective policies and processes for financial systems access and maintain functional master data updates to ensure appropriate control over the Groups assets and accurate financial information processing.Job Outline:

  • Support user access management & functional masters update requests while being compliant with defined policies and standard operating procedures (SoPs) to help protect group assets. Functional masters include e.g., Interline airline contracts (Pax and Cargo), Airline ticket tax master, Direct operating cost contracts, supplier and customer masters, bank masters, etc.
  • Provide support for all financial applications being provided in line with respective Service Level Agreement (SLAs) helping keep the lights on with support from IT and suggest root cause fixes towards permanent resolution for identified recurring issues.
  • Support the maintenance of regression test packs, help conduct the first level of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new features, enhancements & bug-fixes for financial applications.
  • Explore & suggest new features in both internal and external (vendor based) financial applications to continuously improve the products under management.
  • Understand the existing business processes being supported by financial applications and support the change enablers in training & adoption.
  • Manage own performance & continuous learning plan. Help improve performance of the unit, help other members in the team with their development to support succession planning.
Qualifications & ExperienceFinance & Insurance.Accounts :12 Years schooling or equivalent : Candidates with demonstrable continuous self-development through career would have higher consideration.4+ Yrs experience in Functional (Finance and/or Accounting)Knowledge / skills:Functional knowledge of Financial Applications highly desired which includes any of:ERP Finance (Oracle Financials eBS preferred), -Airline Revenue Accounting, Direct Operating Costs - Payment Gateway - Treasury - Planning, Forecasting, Consolidation & Budgeting - Reporting / AnalyticsAbility to pick-up any financial application, understand how it fits in the overall technology landscape and how it enables the finance functionBasic Accounting & Taxation knowledge preferredBasic Operational Finance Knowledge preferredAbility to understand finance processes from a system perspectiveExperience in handling master management functions, preferably in an airline or aviation group preferredSalary & BenefitsJoin us in Dubai and enjoy an attractive tax-free salary and travel benefits that are exclusive to our industry, including discounts on flights and hotels stays around the world.
