This role reports to the CEO.Falcon and Associates (Falcon) was established in 2009 to share Dubais best stories with the world through providing strategic advisory, commercial partnership and delivery services across three main pillars - Events, Projects & Initiatives and Marketing & Communications.As part of our mandate, we create, host, deliver and support world-class initiatives that form a key part of Dubais unique landscape, capitalising on the amazing pillars that Dubai has while communicating the citys incredible story through these.This is an important role that requires specific experience. Please read the below carefully and apply only if you can demonstrate the relevant experience and skills required.Projects and Initiatives at FalconFalcon initiates and develops sustainable projects which align with Falcons mandate. Projects and initiatives typically focus on key markets, such as UK, US, Australia, Africa and China however, as Dubai is a truly global city, so is the remit.The pipeline of projects revolve around our 4 strategic pillars:1.) Education

• Manage, grow & develop graduate management training & consultancy programmes, our flagship programme (the Dubai Business Associates Programme (DBA))
• Explore and develop complementary education ventures, including EdTech

2.) Sustainability/CSR

• Conferences
• Potential events focused on sustainable topics or areas
• Initiatives related to sustainability that can be implemented across Falcons other mandates, including Events.

3.) Humanitarian

• Deliver projects that enhance the international understanding of Dubais global humanitarian footprint, including through our strategic relationship with the Dubai International Humanitarian City

4.) World-class events (specifically sports)

• Initiate, incubate, deliver & oversee projects which enhance Falcons key sport pillar

Director, Projects and InitiativesFalcon is seeking to hire a dynamic, strategic and innovative Director to manage and execute the Projects and Initiatives (P&I) division for the organization. You will be a key part of the organisations leadership team and have a very strong work ethic. You will naturally be a strong team player who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and getting involved in anything & everything, without being asked. You will have an innate desire to train and grow team members and encourage an open door policy where your colleagues will feel comfortable to discuss, debate and learn from you (and vice versa). • Working with the strategy function of Falcon to enhance the strategic planning for the P&I function around the 4 strategic pillars;
• Business development sourcing project ideas from Falcons network, the DBA and their own network to come up with new opportunities for potential new projects & initiatives;
• In alignment with relevant Falcon colleagues, initiate agreed projects and take ownership of the research and due diligence required;
• Performing and overseeing due diligence including, strategic fit, stakeholder profiling, financial & commercial feasibility and sustainability, creating business plans and ;
• Project management and leadership establishing, executing and overseeing the project plan and leading the team that implements the project set-up.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in any related field
• Arabic language a must (expat or UAE National)
• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in one or combination of: Business management & development; Strategy consulting; Project management

Essential experience includes:

• Strong commercial acumen
• Sound financial literacy (including the ability to model)
• Competence in leading and conducting due diligence
• Preparing budgets, including P&Ls
• Deal structuring
• Programme design/delivery/management
• Stakeholder management
• Ample experience of the Dubai/GCC business landscape
