Job Description

HEAD OF DESIGNInterior design company, Dubai--Melior is very excited to be partnering with a UK-based interior design company, that has recently opened an office in Dubai. Theyre now looking for a Head of Design to lead and oversee all aspects of the design process, from ideation to execution.What youll be doing:

  • Design leadership: providing creative direction and leadership to the design team
  • Project management: overseeing multiple projects
  • Client management: working closely with clients to understand their vision and translating these into designs
  • Team development: mentoring, coaching and developing more junior members of the team
  • Quality assurance: reviewing and critiquing work, to maintain high standards
  • Vendor and supplier management: liaising with vendors, suppliers and contractors to source products
  • Trend analysis: staying up-to-date with the latest design trends, materials and technologies
  • Budget and resource management: working with the management team to develop budgets, allocate resources and optimize project profitability
What you bring:
  • At least 8 years of experience working in interior design
  • Previous management experience with strong leadership skills
  • Extensive experience delivering complex interior design projects
  • Exceptional design skills
  • Experience using EstiPC, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and other interior design softwares
  • Ideally experience working in Dubai / the Middle East
