Job Description

Job PurposeResponsible for ensuring the capture, analysis and dissemination of data to ensure Emirates Group stakeholders can make real-time, data-driven decisions. Work closely with stakeholders to identify data capture requirements and, along with inputs from relevant teams across the department, design and implement analytics solutions.Job Outline:- Liaise with stakeholders to understand requirements for tracking, measurement and reporting across assigned department.- Work with Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) data engineering and product teams, & Emirates Group IT, to deliver finance data roadmaps.- Conduct testing and validation of data for certification and deployment and initiate the data catalogue and governance process.- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards with tools like Power BI and micro-strategy to support various stakeholders with a focus of automated, dynamic self-service data landscape.- First line responsibility for timely data delivery, dashboard uptime and accuracy and escalate any data quality issues.- Lead on the manipulation of existing programming logics and structures to fit changing technologies and business demands.- Collaborate with IT and EDA (Enterprise Data Analytics) in upgrading opaque technologies into the Microsoft Suite of products including Power Apps and SharePoint structure development.- Build expertise in assigned areas datasets and supporting systems.- Handle large volumes of data across assigned department including at times sensitive data and ensure that data governance best practice is followed and adhered to.- Cross fertilize knowledge across department via upskilling sessions or on the job trainings offered to interested stakeholders.- Train and support teams across department in understanding and utilizing the analytics products to make data-backed decisions.- Push the boundaries of what is possible within the standard suite of Microsoft products to achieve highest degree of content propagation across the organization.- Build expertise in assigned areas datasets and supporting systems- Handle large volumes of data across assigned department including at times sensitive data and ensure that data governance best practice is followed and adhered to.- Cross fertilize knowledge across department via upskilling sessions or on the job trainings offered to interested stakeholders.- Train and support teams across department in understanding and utilizing the analytics products to make data-backed decisions.- Push the boundaries of what is possible within the standard suite of Microsoft products to achieve highest degree of content propagation across the organization.Qualifications & Experience- Finance/Data Analytics/Data Modelling: 5+ Years- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)- Degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Operational Research, Commerce, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology etc.- Experience within a similar business area where there has been a strong focus on data analytics with 2 years in a supervisory role.- Experience with the implementation of initiatives that are transformational in natureKnowledge/skills:- Deep understanding of Power BI Platform.- Good understanding of Snowflake and SQL based data integration.- Good understanding of Microsoft suite of data collaboration and process tools like Power Apps, and SharePoint.- Collaborative contributor in the sense that they can build trusted relationships and wide networks across a range of teams and individuals in order to deliver business benefits.Salary & BenefitsJoin us in Dubai and enjoy an attractive tax-free salary and travel benefits that are exclusive to our industry, including discounts on flights and hotels stays around the world.
