Job Description

We are looking for a ConsultatAtkins, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, is one of the worlds most respected design, engineering, and project management consultancies.We are continuously growing our Transport Advisory and Planning team with diverse skills and expertise covering a wide spectrum of services across transport advisory, planning, and traffic engineering.Our Transport Advisory and Planning team requires an experienced Consultant to team in the Middle East to be based in Dubai. Successful candidates will have proven experiences in Transport Consulting on large-scale projects in UAE, KSA and the wider Middle East region. You will join an international team of transport experts located locally and across the globe, supporting key clients and working on mega projects.The candidate will be based in Dubai but will be required to work across the broader Middle East. Whilst directly reporting to the Transport Advisory Lead, the individual must be able to develop a successful working relationship with the discipline leads of other Business Units within the Middle East as well as the technical specialists globally.QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in engineering or transport related subject, or equivalent professional qualification
  • 3-5 years post-graduate experience in transport planning
  • Previous experience in the region, especially in UAE and KSA, is highly desirable
  • Technical background in strategic transport planning, transport policies and regulations, development of transport standards and guidelines, and sustainable and future mobility (active mobility, CAVs, EVs, Drones, etc.)
  • Regional experience of multi-disciplinary work in large-scale planning projects.
  • Good understanding of regional transport plans, standards and regulations
  • Experience of development of high-quality technical reports in line with local/regional regulatory requirements and international best practices.
  • Strong report writing, verbal and presentation skills and able to review the work of others to ensure quality.
  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate issues and ideas effectively.
  • Be flexible, adaptable, and prepared to take on new challenges and work from other Atkins or client office locations.
  • Be highly self-motivated, possessing strong enthusiasm and commitment to delivering sustainable outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop transport plans, polices, standards, and guidelines city and regional levels for high profile clients.
  • Undertake transport analysis, benchmarking, gap analysis, KPI identification.
  • Gather data and research information from a range of sources to provide clear, well-written technical reports.
  • Undertake own work with minimal supervision and deliver to an excellent standard.
