Chief Risk & Compliance Officer-Payments

Job Description

Develop and implement an integrated compliance and risk management strategy, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices .Establish and maintain effective compliance and risk controls, including monitoring, auditing, and reporting mechanisms, to detect and mitigate compliance and operational risksManage compliance, risk and financial crime teamsInvestigate compliance violations, risk incidents, or allegations of misconduct, and implement corrective actions as necessaryConduct regular compliance and risk audits and assessments, develop mitigation strategies to address identified risksConducting external agents/partners oversight to assure alignment with internal compliance, risk policies and risk appetiteMain objectives are:* Establishing and maintaining compliance, risk framework* Monitoring and assessing compliance and risks* Identifying resolution/mitigation actions and managing corresponding backlog as main customer* Implementing compliance training and awareness programs* Overseeing compliance audits and investigations* Reporting and communication (senior management, board members, regulators, and other stakeholders)* Collaborating with regulatory bodies* Implementing and monitoring compliance controls* Promoting ethical behaviour and integrityThe Successful Applicant* Bachelor s degree in Law, Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.* Proven experience in a board level compliance and risk management role in the payment industry* In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, risk management frameworks, and industry standards applicable to the company s operations.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex regulatory requirements and operational risks, and develop practical solutions.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.* Strong leadership abilities based on values and people respect, with experience managing a team and driving a culture of compliance and risk management.
