The Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service by efficiently processing transactions, handling cash, credit, and debit payments, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires attention to detail, a friendly attitude, and adherence to company policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities:Greet customers courteously and assist with their transactions.Scan items and ensure accurate pricing.Collect payments via cash, credit/debit cards, or other methods.Issue receipts, refunds, or exchanges as needed.Maintain an accurate cash drawer and reconcile cash at the end of each shift.Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked.Follow security and safety procedures to prevent theft or fraud.Maintain confidentiality of customer information.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Prior experience in cashiering, retail, or customer service preferred.Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and accuracy.Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
