Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Carryout site survey / site measurement for carpentry finishing works on-board and pass on to workshops for further action.
  • Read and understand work instruction and drawings including colour finish.
  • Carryout removal, repair and installation works on board.
  • Carryout panelling, ceiling and other interior finishing works.
  • Carryout doors and windows installation on board.
  • Carryout installation of cabinets, coaming works, handrails, soft furnishings etc.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping, daily maintenance of machines and tools in safe working condition.
  • Communicate with supervisor about any unsafe condition, noticed malfunction of tools and machinery.
  • Prevent excessive wear, tear, breakdowns and wastage of materials, consumables etc.
  • Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
Experience / Qualification & Skills:
  • Secondary School
  • Relevant Trade Apprentice
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience as a Carpenter in Marine /Shipyard industry.
